WORKSHOP 2

Location class
§  What does the term ‘bounce flash’ mean and why would you use this technique?
§
§  A single flashgun, used directly, gives hard shadows because it is a small light source. The only way to soften the light, is to make the source of light larger. The most effective way of doing this with on-camera flash, is to bounce it.

§
§  What does the term ‘fill-flash’ mean and why would you use it.
§
§  fill flash can help you even out the exposure across your subject. A prime example of this is a person wearing a hat outdoors. Often the hat will create a shadow directly across the subject's eyes. Using fill flash will illuminate the eyes without overexposing the rest of the image.
§
§  When working in daylight, how could you use flash as a main light and daylight as a fill, describe it?
